Is This 2001 740iL Really worth $13,250.00?

Ad is found here. Mileage is only 149873 KM and car looks clean. But is he off his meds?

Also, if one is looking for a 2001 740 what mileage would be okay and what would be too much?

the 2001s command a premium over other years, but the truth is, any car with any mileage can be a good buy if it is in good shape and well-maintained. I'd rather buy a nice, cared-for 400000km car than an abused 100000km one. Also, your ad link doesn't work.

If not in a rush, you can get a 740i Sport, (much better IMO) with same milage for $5K less. Keep in mind that a low milage car might need a LOT of work very SOON, if not all the repairs have been done. I just had to drop $5K into my X5 with only 118K, and not done yet! It all comes down to the history of the car.

The car belongs to a member on here.
It is clean and the interior rare. Do I see it selling for more than 85-9500? No.

Also, that car has been on again, off again kijiji for over a year now. Ive contacted him in the past, and the owner seems firm on price. Looks like a rare combo, but I think its quite over priced

Car is clean, and has a rare interior.

But as mentioned above, low mileage isn't always a good thing with these cars!

You are right, I always forget the e38 735 was a V8.
They also had 740 manual too, that I wasn't aware of but makes complete sense.
