im suspecting the rear shock mount though, and i know water pump belt is in bad shape. so i'll be changing those soon with some rock auto stuffs.

i also suspect the head gasket due to murky oil and tiny biy of white smoke upon start up...
good thing its an occasional car.
Congrats! Interior looks pretty clean too!

If you mean me, I was running a 16" pusher fan last year, but wanted to do a puller with a proper shroud because that configuration is much more effective at moving air through the rad. Also I plan to turbo in the future, so this frees up space in front of the rad for an intercooler.

Thought I'd ask you guys first instead of starting a new topic:
I need a driveshaft since I believe the slight play in the u joints are causing some vibration and droning around 60-80.
Anyone know a good place to get it rebuilt in southern Ontario / the GTA? What's the pricing like?

Andrew wasn't there a place in Breslau that you or Joe used for a driveshaft rebuild?

Edit: found the post http://www.maxbimmer.com/forums/show...18&postcount=3

I dunno if I'd fully recommend that place, they did a good job replacing the joints and the price was great, but they balanced it poorly the first time, and when I took it back they improved it but it still wasn't perfect.

IIRC they had a fixture for bolting to e30 guibos machined based on my driveshaft so perhaps they are better setup to balance bmw driveshafts at this point.

There's a shop in North Scarborough someplace I used one time years ago when the shaft on my 87 hilux needed balancing... did a great job for a very reasonable price... can't remember the name at all... found them after talking to a heavy truck service shop... these guys also do/did race/drag car shafts...
Found them or more accurately found the guys who bought them... here an address and tel# for you 416 321 1075, 55 Nashdene used to be called Dynamic Shaft & Equipment. Missed the new name when he answered the phone... worth a call
