The used market changes a lot .. right now it may be harder to find an awd car over a rwd car. In summer or just before it .. it changes. Your right .. I can't find a 325ix on autotrader.

Summer or winter, 325ix coupe will be rare in Canada.
However, being rare doesn't automatically make something more desirable. I'm sure a clean RWD 325i coupe commands a higher price than a more rare "ix" in similar condition.

The maker for classics is almot never affected by those factors. Clean rare cars will sell all year long. An E30 m3 would sell in December the same it would in June. everyday "disposable" cars are another story....

There are lots of $2,000 E30s that might need $6800 worth of bodywork though. Time for clean ones to climb, cause the prices of the heaps drag them down.

That said, this one needs too much work and the km are high.

this one looks surprisingly clean! But 8800 is more than a bit of a stretch... Odd carpet..
And like dbl Trouble said, i do feel lucky to even have a remotely clean-ish e30, consider what seems to go up usually nowadays

http://www.barrett-jackson.com/appli...?ln=24&aid=423

Conversely this E46 M3 SMG vert sold for $13,200 this year lol...

It's all about mileage here. M3 was also in an accident. In 2030, an e46 m3 with less than 20,000miles will cost a lot of money too.

Yeah, but a 325e?... that'd be like having a low mileage E46 320i in 2030 and selling it for something like $30k lol... who knows, maybe it'll happen.

Most of the time, the only cars that will be collectible and gain value are low production highly desireable sportscars (ie: E30 M3, Integra Type R) or cult type cars. There are exceptions to the rule such as the case of the DATSUN 510.

Well, it depends. I doubt non-M3 E30 will ever get there, but Isetta are worth more now then they were when new and they were mass produced.

Where do you get 30k though? I can easily see a 320i selling for 15k in 2030.

Forget collectables! Bottom line is, ALL E30's have gone up in value, if solid and not rusted. 15years ago i was able to pick up mint cars with blown engines for $300-500! If i had the same ones today, they would go for 5 times that, in same condition! Even a simple 325e!
