Unhappy Custom Colors

Any one had problems ordering a custom color. I tried to order X5 with a current custom color (laguna seca blue) got turned down - not sure where to go from here

call BMW canada and tell them you're interested in the BMW individual program.

the dealer you went to either didn't want your business or doesn't have a good enough relationship with bmw canada.

LSB x5 would be hoooooot. dont let them talk you into some silly interior.

I'd call the dealership back and ask to talk to a sales manager.

here's the BMW individual page for the X5 M.
http://www.bmw.com/com/en/newvehicle...isualizer.html

It is possible they're not doing individual for the non motorsport X5.

Individual paint is not available on the X5 right now.
Here is a list of models that can be ordered with the Individual options

And here what the same document says regarding the X5

I know what you mean, bunch of us went to the Spartanburg Plant where they produce the X5 & X6, all the colours we saw on the assembly line were black, white & silver.

This is why i was so happy with my Imola red 4.6is! That color just made the truck stand out so much!

When available, Individual program is very limited on the X5. You are pretty much limited to the choices that are offered in the X5 Individual catalog.
Even though X5 Individual program should resume soon, I doubt BMW is going to approve your color choice.

Buy the car, go to paint shop, get car painted?

Seeing as it is brand new, there shouldn't be any bodywork, so it can't be that expensive, can it?

At least $10K for a proper job! To do it right, pretty much everything has to be taken apart, so it will get expensive quick!

Go for the wrap option... professionally done it will protect the original paint and is very affordable compared to a paint job... also it will not void the warranty on the car.
