That's not right man... we accept cans whatever the condition at my store... heck we prefer if you pre crush... we can get more cans per load that way...
I can understand why your store would not take them though... when they are crushed it's harder to process out the pop cans we don't pay on...
you are actually supposed to bring them to us rinsed and counted before you get to the counter if you read the actual "rules" of recycling...

FYI guys most prices went up at the beer store/lcbo on monday Mar. 3 by .10 a tall can or $1+ a 24 thanks to Mr. Harper please don't complain too hard to those of us serving you at the counter we feel the same pocketbook pain you do... and have no control at all over the prices of the products we sell. That being said there are some good buys out there 28s of coors are a better deal this week then 30s (the 30s are almost $4 more). the new Galaxy Hop Keith's is out and is reportedly very tasty with a slight fruity flavour but I hav'nt had the chance to get any myself yet. The Muskoka Detour IPA is amazing it is a light beer 4.3% that actually has some kind of flavour to it... not watery.
On the wine side from Italy Cuzimano's "Nero D'Avola" is an amazing red from Sicilia great depth of flavour lots of fruit and light tannin very drinkable came out at $9.95 now $10.95 tastes like a $16+ bottle I'd put on a must try list.

Just had some amazing beer from Flying Monkeys tonight... "On the Shoulders of Giants" an American/Imperial IPA at 10% she packs a punch but is very well rounded and tasty... not widely available in bottles I found it at the Only on Danforth... gotta love their $5 tap sundays...
