Anyone from the East Coast? (Maritimes)

Just wondering if there is any MaxMembers (or guests) that are familiar with the Sport Compact Car interest (if any) over in the East Coast (N.Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI, N. FndLnd etc...) Is it really pure hick-styles still (Ford F-150 vs. Chevy CK) or is there a market there? Anyone travel over there or have friends/family?

P.S. I'm really wondering about the larger cities (Halifax, St.John, Moncton)

I was down there last year doing shows (from truro to halifax). Halifax was the only place I found any sort of modded cars, but they were few an far between. Then again I was only in Halifax for like 3 days.

I have been to Halifax twice and there isn't a hell of alot for tricked out cars. Nice quiet place and the fresh seafood is that damn good!

driving there would be simply beautiful! but once winter hits, and the 6 feet of snow falls, then out comes the rusty ford trucks =)

My cuz lives in Halifax and he drives a E46 328ic does that make him a hick? well whatever... I tried to get him on the forum but he's pretty busy with work.

I go to Nova Scotia once a year to visit family, it's a really nice place. Hardly any stuped rice boys and some sweet ass ladys that love the outa town cock. It's better then toronto in that aspect.

A few hicks though.. one time a guy came up and asked me what my 90 325i was worth, he called it "fancy". I told him to take a guess, he guessed $30,000 LOL

That exactly right Tania... I remember driving that road with my parents years ago so I did a search to post the pic.

I'm probably the only Newfie here..

I'm in St. John's. and there isn't much hapening down here. If its not a 5L rustang then the baymen don't like it. Most people down here still think BMWs are yuppie cars...That is until I take them for a ride There are a few hondas with huge ass wings, but the emphasis seems to be show, not go. You guys should gome down and check out the Targa next year (www.targanewfoundland.com) A nice M coupe from california won last year.
