Question Fuel Scavenging Line?

Can anyboby explain to me what the fuel scavenging line does and if its really needed or can I just remove it and insatall a vent. I was told it was for emission purposes but I'm not too sure.

You mean the evaporative line that goes to the charcoal canister? It's needed for emissions requirements, but yes, the car can run without it with a simple filter put in its place.
