ha no not mine, asked the firemen, apparently some guy had been driving and his car started smoking..so he pulled over popped the hood and tried putting it out but then it really started going and he ditched and called 911. It was an older a6, I'm curious to what started the fire

it was electrical fire somehow (at least thats what the fire department let us and the insurance company know .. something with some wires near the head)

My dad and some other people were throwing water on it. Dad didnt know it was a fire till he opened the hood ... he seen a little smoke and pulled over .. could have been anything .. I had huge smoke from my power steering line pissing on the block and causing lots of smoke (good old k car days)

Fireman friend of mine said "If you think you have a fire under the hood, Don't Open It!"

Apparently people crack the hood and lift it just as the increased oxygen supply makes the fire an explosion.

And me with an injector leak...

That's nuts, once saw a fox body stang go up in flames due to a dash/electrical fire that spread quick while the car was off and owner in the bank.
