The swap was done WAY before then! Its was originally build years ago, and sold and resold few times...Last thing I know was the car needed a transmission, so it might just have been replaced in December! lol
At that price the swap is almost worth more! But make sure you check it well...few body parts have been replace.

It seems that that car has popped up quite a few times recently on Kijiji. I can never get an honest answer about the condition of it either. Its definitely a tempting car though.

E38s are a hard sell to begin with, let alone a 6-speed off production version.

At minimum you can get a UVIP to see how the kms have been clocking.

ok little update about the seller hes full of crap as I noticed tried to take a look at it and in case leave deposit on the car but the seller wanted 4gs with no option to leave deposit on the car till Monday bc my bank is closed during the weekend so I told him that. as soon I mentioned that I am gonna eave him 500-1000k deposit he went nuts and telling me I cant afford his car etc. So far as much I can say about the seller that hes ignorant so I just cancelled meeting with him even tho he re think about the deposit I just told him to gtfo bc I don't wanted anymore.

You starting asking about deposits and stuff before going to see the car? Or did you actually go see the car? Your post above isn't clear.

If you were doing this over the phone/email don't try to Bargain over the phone/email for a car you haven't even seen yet. Most sellers won't take you seriously.

Lol ofc i was up in barrie then i went 30 more mins up north to see it when tried to give him deposit for it he started to talk trash so i just told him to gtfo.over the phone i arrange metting with the guy and asking price what he wants for it but i am not stupid to go with 4gs on me and be stuck with lemon car thats not a first car i bought so i know when ppl try to hide something about it. hes in rush to sell it but couldnt take deposit bc like he said he need all amount for it. even tho my bank is closed on the weekends. so i told him on monday i come up with rest bc i need yellow plates to drive it back he still said no so i told him to go screw him self then recived couple msgs that he changed his mindand he will accept deposit then i was turned off i told him to gtfo i am not interested anymore. btw it needs dome work he tried to hide check engine is on but bulb was removed i got my scaner with me 4 codes were shown not big deal but owner tried to hide it

Maybe your slang but I don't understand what you are trying to say.

If he didn't want to take a deposit then go Monday with a bank draft and get it. I doubt anyone will have 4k to give him in cash.

the point was easy to understand if I woud give u deposit u know that I am interested in it obv but If u would say that ur not interested in deposit and start talking trash to potential buyer. then I that case me I just went to my car drive off and don't care about it no matter what. I just bought last Monday 325i for my gf I was talking with the guy seen the car left 500 deposit the same day at 9 pm the guy came to my home drop the car off give him rest of the money and the deal was closed. in this case the seller obv wanted to get rid off the car without even letting me drive around duno why I just wasted 30 min of my drive up north. if I was interested about it by leaving deposit it means that I will come back for it. on Monday I could go and grab it but I don't wanted anymore instead off I am looking for 540i 6spd.
