Got some work done!!, found out e34 suspension is almost identical, i bolted in my old 540 strut housings with h/r sports only issue was the three bolts on the bottom of the strut are larger then the ones in the e28, going to try to swap control arms and lower strut bracket from my 540 left overs

Also got further with the motor tear down, got the intake manifold off!, pain in the ass haha

I have some pics but i will take more

I also started swapping rear struts, for my e34s, and saw the mounts have different bolt patterns, and mount sizes are different, since i want to do a complete e34 suspension swap, im going to bore out my strut towers, and drill new bolt holes, the car has some minor rust in the strut towers that i am going to repair

oh yeah, i also had an idea for the rear suspension. if this makes any sense lol. look at the 3 bolts on the top as a triangle, could you not just flip the triangle and re-drill new holes? im thinking it would be a bit more structural that way. it makes sense in my head lol

U mean re drill new wholes into the strut mounts? Instead of the body?

haha well i plan on re drilling the strut tower for the e34 bolt pattern so i don’t have to drill every
time i swap struts, the "triangle" for the e34 struts is smaller then the e28's,

i wish i had a e28 rear strut mount so i can try seeing if the e34 coil will fit in the e28 mount before i drill mine are to rusty and bent up to get an accurate "reading"

i ordered a few things!! some gauges, wide band a/f, egt, and boost/vac, looking into a mspnp from diyautotune.com, ordered exhaust manifold studs, intake gaskets, coolant hoses, oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket, spark plugs and probably some other things im sure i forgot....

i was talking to todd at tcd and he mentioned that the optimal c/r for the m30 is 8:1, the mls i ordered which was .10" is to thick and will lower my c/r to about 7.4, my friend who has an m30b35 is going to purchase my .120 and im going to re-order an .08 which is stock thickness. ill take pics of everything when its in

After contacting diy autotune about a mspnp for a #059 ecu we came to the conclusion... they dont have one haha, so the only option for me was to wire ms3x (preassembled) into my stock harness, so thats wat i plan on doing, i ordered ms3x, with all the wiring harnesses and sensors ill need to complete the install, ill make a list when the items come in!

I got my items from tcd!,
