Some good guy lawyers, honest bankers and car salesman out there too. Police need to keep a cool head, that's what they are paid to do. I'm sure the rest of the TPS isn't enjoying this episode either.

for me the difference is the cop is supposed to know better. i respect the badge because its supposed to stand for higher moral authority, not just better weapons.

Just like in Florida... an adult kills a minor, and somehow some people are trying to justify this.

I mean was this kid a Samurai Professional Knife Thrower?
Was he Bullseye from Marvel comics?

How dangerous was he, with 10+ cops, guns drawn, and all alone on a TTC bus?
6+ shots and then a tazer?

Tell me he was that dangerous...

At least the rules used to be, always show your hands, don't flinch, and never reach in your pockets... now its... shoot first and tell the world how scared you were.

There are strong evidence that suggests law enforcement are members of the Gestapo and the SS.

Can someone explain why, after he had already been shot 3 times and dropped to the floor of the streetcar, did the cop need to pump six more bullets into his body? He wasn't even remote threat at that point. Serious question for those supporting or defending the cop's actions in this instance.

because it's fact that when a body has been shot only 3 times, it can get back up and flinch throw a knife at your face.

****. Imagine that... I feel awful for the parents..

Maybe the kid was having a psychotic episode? Who knows if he had any mental issues. Judging by the threat, and situation, it could have been handled a lot differently. DEFINETLY no need to shoot the poor SOB.. Cmon! 20 cops and 1 guy!

If I was there, I would volunteer to disable the guy. Gimme a baton, or taser... take me 1 minute.

I don't care how many bullets the kid was filled with after he refused to comply and may have attempted to make movement toward an officer, at that point its moot how many times you now DESERVE to be shot. The cop now has the right to defend his own life, we do not bend to accommodate criminals with knives on the TTC and cuddle them so as not to hurt the poor fella. Again I was split on how I felt but at the end of the day this is how it works, disobey and threaten a cops life, you get shot.

If it turns out he was stepping backwards or never moved toward the officer or raised his weapon, Ill take it all back and call the cop scum as well.

When the hell did our society decline to such a point that a thug that pulls a knife on a public bus and threatens people now becomes the innocent martyr.

And to anyone who thinks we live in a police state... you know how I know we're not in a police state? Because you just said it and your still alive and not in a detention camp somewhere.

I wonder why they aren't showing the public the bus camera from inside. I think he turned around when he was shot
