Protecting Shaved Fenders

I was looking to get my rear fenders shaved (fenders cut?) on my e92.

I was wondering what steps would be necessary to protect them from corrosion/rust after that.

Would just repainting the newly exposed metal edges be enough, or do I need to use some type of sealer first and then paint and then rust protection?

I'm thinking of having RMP do this, but I just want to make sure there's no rust issues afterwards so I want to get it done properly the first time around.

primer, paint. if you're cutting the inside, do it yourself, no one will ever see.

Definitely seal w/anticorrosion coatings, prime, and paint. I had my E46 done professionally at Luxury Autobody for a couple hundred bucks. Never had an issue.
