e36 328 sedan window problem

Hi guys,
so today i noticed as i was winding up the windows, the passenger front window decided to have a mind of its own and come back down..... came down like 3 inches and stopped.. what coule this be? door striker???? window off the track?? if i repress the button to wind it up it goes the 2nd time around
any help would be great fellow e36erssssssssss

This happens any time the window is contricted or doesn't go up properly. Could be any number of things. Best thing to do is take the door panel off and take a look at what is going on inside when your putting the window up and down. When this happened to mine it turned out one of the arms that connected the motor to the door was loose and the window was going up a little crooked. Once I tightened it up, its all good.
