Track Car Parts Sources?

Hey Folks,

I am in the beginning stages of a track car build (budget build) and am always on the lookout for good new and used parts both on maxbimmer and kijiji. I am currently looking for a deal on Hawk HT-10 brake pads, does anyone know a good source in Ontario/Canada with reasonable pricing? Has anyone ever done a group purchase? Also, local Canadian sources for any other parts would be greatly appreciated. My base is a 96 328i, almost completely striped and working towards the build-up.

The brake pads should be easily available locally.

Almost everything else, you're going to be stuck ordering from the US.

Absolutely everything is available in the GTA, at comparable prices to the US. You might save a few bucks initially here and there, but wait until you get the wrong part, or the wrong sized helmet, need to have a shock revalved etc, etc. Wait for the costs to add up sending the stuff back to the US.

Places like:

SportscarBoutique, CSC Racing and Northern Performance will have all you need, or can get it. PLUS, if anything goes wrong, or you need service, you have someone to look after it locally.

If you want Hawk pads, check tirerack, seriously. Not local obviously but some of the best prices I've seen, last I checked anyway.

Good Point Votexgti...I will keep that in mind.

Thx BigD...Checked them already. I found Hawk HT-10 f-pads at EuroSport Tuning for 159$. Best deal I could find so far less the 2 week wait.

Right on. A few other places worth visiting/calling:

http://www.hotnightshotrods.com/ (never been here but a friend of mine has and they seem to have some kind of deal with Summit, where they can get you whatever you want from Summit very quickly and with little markup/no shipping cost)

Just as an update on my search for parts locally with great prices..."EuroSport Tuning" which I mentioned earlier has been awesome. Frank has been accommodating and set me up with everything I needed and at a great price. I Highly recommend!! btw..i don't work for this company so this is not a shameless plug...hehe.
