opes, one interesting thing I see in your build sheet is this:

S915A AUSSENHAUTSCHUTZ ENTFALL Delete clear coat

Did your car not have clear coat on it?

1 - 2001-2006 BMW M3 Coupe (BL93) - NA painted in Dakar Yellow 2 (337) with Black Nappa Leather (0522/N5SW) interior were built for the Canadian market.

33 cars were built for the US

The most rare option on your car is the option S915A - Delete clear coat . It was installed on 414 out of 26,202 cars.

I don't know exactly what they mean by "Delete clear coat", but I know for sure it has nothing to do with the actual clear coat. From what I understand it has something to do with shipping protection.

It's 1 of 4 Imola on Black + Imola Piping Leather.
BMW originally planned 10 cars, but for some reason only 4 were built.

Well, it is called Limited Edition Canada, so I'm sure that there are only 4 Imola Red Limited Editions Canada. However, I can't say for sure that it was the only version that was ordered with black leather and imola piping. Most likely it was not, but I'm pretty sure there are only 4 cars with that interior on this side of the pond.

Imola Red piping was used in Europe on some E38. I only found 20, but they were either Sand Beige or Champagne. Admittedly, I do not have data for all the E38s.

P.S. Imola Red was not the only Limited Edition Canada E38. We had other versions as well.

14 cars - 2001 740i Scarab Green Metallic with Champagne Nappa Leather + English Green Piping

10 cars - 2000 740iL Midnight Blue metallic with Cream Nappa Leather + Navy Blue piping

3 cars - 2000 740iL Glacier Green metallic with Mint Nappa leather + English Green piping

It's in the state of Illinois. Looks like it still has a clean title. It was for sale in 2010 for $11,000 with 109,000 miles

By the way, there are 2 Estoril Blue 750iL in the US. One car was for sale a year ago for $6,500

Also somewhere in Mississauga, there is a Velvet Blue Metallic on Bi-color Black/Ink Blue 750iL.

I don't have photos of that car, but here is what Velvet Blue looks like.

What do you want to know? You can get a lot of the info on the BMW M Registry. Also, car #1 is registered there.
