Tire size for 15x8 +20

Hey so i've got some 15x8 +20 bbs reps and i just went into my local tire shops to try and get 205/50 (as recommended by forum members) put on my wheels and they won't do it for liability reasons. They said they could put on 225/50s...would 225/50s rub the struts or the fenders with my wheel? ( 15x8 +20 ) on stock suspension btw

why would they be liable? That is not unreasonable at all. Go to a different shop.

I just bought the tires there cause they were cheap, and my buddy who works at another shop is gonna do them for me. Supposedly they were in a law suit with someone who has stretched tires from there....not like 205 on 15x8 is really even a stretch lol

ugh so i got the tires on the wheels...they look good and everything but 15x8 +20 do not clear the front calipers (shit). instead of grinding them down i went over to jsport and had some 15mm (.6 inches) spacers ordered and they'll be here tomorrow...hopefully 15mm will do the trick.

How low are you? You may run into fender rubbing issues with a +5 offset.

Ya thats weird. offset isnt the issue here. Yopu can run 15x8 + 20 no problems typically. The spokes of the wheel must be very shallow in reference to the hub face.

The final +5 fitment is aggressive but relatively flush when I lower it, might need an ever so slight roll. looks like I only needed 8mm spacer to clear...but I'm happy with the look

Here's the final fitment...needs more low in the front lol. 15x8 +5 on 205/50s all around. No rubbing.
