E46 Coupe LED License Plate Illumination

I bought these for my convertible and they don't fit

I bought them at the beginning of 2012 and were left in a bin of car parts - I just found them and thought I would sell them in order to buy ones that fit my car. They are essentially brand new, only test fitted unsuccessfully into my cabriolet.

They work as I have tested them with power and I can demo for any potential buyers. These are also error free units, meaning you will not get a bulb out indicator on your dash!

I am looking for $50 firm. I work in Oshawa, live in Markham and will be by Square One this Thursday, April 4.

PM, call or text (4 1 six) 7 1 six - six 8 2 six

Thanks,
Adam

Which convertible do you have? I bought these last year and thought they don't fit but recently found a way to fit it.

Basically, you put the LED first and make sure the LED can be turned on. Then instead of using the plastic cover that comes with the LED, use the original plaster cover from BMW.

But you need to break a small tiny plastic tip on the side of the plastic cover in order to put the cover back in place. Because the LED has taken up more space than the original light bulb.

It is a very tight fit but both the metal and the plastic clips will snap in place. Remember to put in the metal clip side first.
