RHD wiring loom to LHD

Anyone done this ? Any tips.

I'm thinking of getting a donor LHD loom to get some of the wire from. This is for a S50B32 swap so I know I can't use the harness directly, but thinking it might be easier to run a few wires rather than changing the length of most of them

I have a RHD harness already. It's just that lots of wires have to get lengthened and shortened. A LHD harness from a north american car is 99% the same.

I'm guessing you don't recall the thread ?

Is it ok to just extend the ECU to dashboard wires to fit? (I am putting the clocks from the 2.5 into mine).

Apart from engine and speed info are the connections the same form 1.9 to 2.5tdi (both '98)?
