1998 528i - runs great, cheap!!
Hello,
I just bought an E39 528i to use as a daily driver but now I'm looking to sell it and recover my costs. I bought it dead, replaced the battery and alternator and now it runs like a champ.
It's Aspen Silver on a purple-ish coloured interior, which I'm told is very rare. It's also 5spd(sport pkg). KMs are a bit high at 317000, but engine and tranny are still strong. There is some very minor rust starting on the trunk, but not very noticeable. It looks great otherwise. The interior is in good shape with a bit of fading on drivers seat. Everything works on it, including the heated steering wheel.
The Bad:
Ok so coming home tonight I somehow got a flat tire and it damaged the rim. The car includes a full size 5th wheel as a spare, but I found out the tire on that is no good either. You will need to bring a spare wheel to drive it away, or tow it if you have CAA.
My price is gonna be low to hopefully get a fast sale and get it off my driveway: $1700 OBO

Found a cheap set of wheels. Probably looking to keep the car now, at least until it warms up and I can take my summer car out.

Warmer weather is coming, so I'm putting this back up for sale! $1700 OBO, but I will not entertain lowball offers. The car has been running amazing and if I don't get fair value for it I'm fine keeping it for a while longer. Everything works including the heated steering wheel. 4 OEM style 5 wheels are on the car, in good condition. 3 General Exclaim UHP tires are on the car with 90% tread, 1 tire is a Dunlop snow tire.

See first post. There IS rust starting on and around the trunk, but it is very minor and as you can see in the pics, it's hard to tell it's there. Nothing is rotted through or beyond saving at this point, I've been washing the car weekly.
