Where to buy 50/50 mix of Methanol & Distilled water?
Does anyone know where to buy this locally? Snow Performance doesn't ship this outside of the US: http://www.snowperformance.net/boost-juice.html

Hmm, could you not mix it yourself if you were to find methanol? Or are the volumes needed far too large to be messing with it?

^^ yup CT or HD or RONA all have Methyl Hydrate (Meth)... then just mix it yourself.
That said, when mixing be sure to take the correct precautions as Methanol is VERY dangerous. Also if you're really looking for a 50/50 mix you need to mix by weight.

If I can't find it pre-mixed then I guess I have to mix it myself.
Notorious - do you know the exact ratio to mix it by weight (meth/water)?

Do you need one molecule of water for every molecule of methanol? If so,
32.04g/mol of methanol
18.02g/mol of water
So methanol is 1.78x as heavy as water (32.04/18.02).
For every 100g of water, you'll want 56.2g of methanol (100/1.78)...if I'm thinking about this correctly.

flaviu's math is right. I'd probably shoot for just under 50% methanol, as going over budget on meth will make you run rich. Too much water wont affect your your A/F (in the minuscule quantities we're talking)

Thanks for the help Flav & Ivan. I spoke with Steeda Performance and they said to use -40 degrees windshield washer fluid as that works great.
What are your thoughts on that?

i dont recommend taking those kind of chances man, who knows what's in that stuff. methanol isn't regulated here, if you have trouble finding a supplier LMK and i'll try to hook you up.
You dont want to store too much of this shit at once, its quite volatile (and flammable). It is much safer to store in ratios of less than 50% when cut with water. check the tank in the car as well for leaks and pinholes.

Yeah good call - the Active tank is 1.8 gallons and it's brand new but I will double check it for leaks before install.
I found this: http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/brows....jsp?locale=en
This works right? So I would need 4,400g of water and 2,471g of meth?

Kevin go to pro racing fuels and buy a pale or a few pales to last the summer. What I do is, I saved a windshield fluid bottle and measured exactly 2ltrs and marked off the bottle with a marker at the 2ltr mark and at the 4 ltr mark. So I fill first with water then I fill the rest with meth. Or you can save a 1.5 ltr bottle of water and fill it first with water and pour it in the tank then fill the same amount with meth and pour it in the tank. These work best for me. It's pretty close to 50/50 and I have never had any problems. Just be prepared to fill it up a lot if your foot is heavy!!

Cool! Thanks for the info Nick - how much does a barrel of the Methanol run usually at pro racing fuels?

Well they charge about 12 for the can and I think about 40-50 total for the meth. So 60 max, meth and can.
I used about a can and a half last year. i can't remember how many litres per buy ill check tonight when I go home. I thought I wouldn't burn as much but my car sucks meth like a hooker on Jarvis. Lol did you get the gen 7 manifold and air box?

My meth kicks in I think around 2-3psi so if your in boost a lot then you'll go thro meth quite a bit. If your driving like a normal person on a Sunday drive then it will last long.
