Battery dies after a day or two while stored
Hey guys,
My car is stored in a none heated garage and the battery is dieing after a little over a day maybe less, is that normal or should i replace the battery so that i can start it every few days like i want to with out having to boost it. And would just getting a battery at my local crappy tire do? If so which brands is recommended/size?
Thanks guys!
Nick

My battery did that a new one solved it. BMW OEM batteries are not that expensive from the dealer

Sounds like the battery is toast.
I find the oem battery is no better than the crappy tire one. Plus its cheaper.

Ballpark figure on cost?
I know the US Walmart has the OE Bosch battery on the rack, but that's probably not the case here in Canada.
In addition to having your battery changed if old, check your running voltage using cluster test (9.0 I believe). A bad voltage regulator drained my battery overnight.

thanks guys, im not getting emails about responses for some reason. I called my local dealership and said it would cost 283$ +taxes. like get real, im just gonna grab a good one from crappy tire for a tenth of that price and it will probably be the same or better anyway. stealerships are the biggest scams

Get one from maranello if you want oem, they got great prices!

There is another guy that works with Mike(forgot his name) and he wil give you the same discount that Mike gave.
Battery from dealership is around $200 plus.

Nope, he's inconsistent. Mike told me the same thing "anyone can give you the discount" but several times Ive gotten product quotes from that guy that were more than what i got from Mike.
And even when I call him on it he just says for that price you need Mike here to buy it at that price since he quoted you.
Several times.
Ask for Mike.

+1 I had such a bad experience with "the other guy" I had to speak with management. I have also had mike quote me and then when I called back and spoke to the other guys the price magically increased for the same part under the max discount.
Mike is the man, hes always super helpful.

Ive only ever dealt with Mike once and yes he was great. but unfortunately living in Keswick that dealership is about an hour+ drive away even with the 407. so I just went to crappy tire got an eliminator for 140$. and problem is solved. went out today and fired it up no problems.
thanks guys!
