Euro fuel pump

I am getting an S50B32 from the UK. I can get the fuel pump with it which has had considerable mileage for approx $65, or buy an aftermarket for around 100.

How much do fuel pumps degrade over time ?

I would say neither.

That's a sweet motor, get a solid fuel pump so you never worry...

Around 250km's I would think about it. You never know what crap has been sucked into the pump over that time period.

That pump is for an S52, I thought the euro pump is more like the S54 pump and provides more pressure than the stock S52 pump ?

The pump for the S52 and s50 is the same. The pressure is controlled by the FPR.

The stock E36 3.2 fuel pump USA (16146758736) cross references to the euro m3.

..and the other model lines that are not 'm'

The euro engines and the s54 run at 5 bar while the regular 3 series run at 3.5 bar. Just get a walbro they aren't very expensive an you'll have a brand new pump. I'm using one with my s54 swap and its working great.

The US has a 3.5 bar FPR, but I had a 4.0 bar with the Dinan kit.
That has nothing to do with the fuel pump.
The US fuel pump and Euro fuel pump are the same for the e36 m3's.

A larger fuel pump would only be necessary if you are exceeding 400 rwhp.

I'm running stock fuel pump with 3.5 bar FPR, and getting far more fuel delivery
Than the stock s54 or euro 3.2.
