e36 euro mid-pipe diameter

Anyone know if these are bigger than N/A spec cars mid-pipe ?

yes they are. here is a picture of the muffler to give you an idea of how big they are.

I thought the mufflers were the same size. I guess you are suggesting that I am wrong about this ?

where the mid pipe enters the muffler its flared bigger for the larger seized mid section pipes.

after that is about a millimeter or 2 larger.

euro mid pipe is sitting at around 60mm(it probably dips below that in sections)

where us spec is 44 mm (dont let the double wall fool you)
as with any exhaust set up its a balance of flow and velocity. us spec doesnt need the euro stuff unless you are running a lot of bolt ons(cams) or boost.

well I happened upon a set of euro headers, so need the mid-pipe

I understand it won't help that much. If at all. I'm bored
