New Bimmer Owner

Good Day,
Just picked up a 2012 135i M Sport with 17,500 Kilometres on her.
New to BMW's, For a long time rotary engine (spinning triangles) enthusiast a piston power car is a big change for me. Still own a 1992 JDM FD3S RX-7 and just got rid of my 2009 RX-8 R3.

Looking forward to the change and working on the Bimmer with the help of forums like this one!

Cheers

Welcome! I'm a former rotor-head and current 135 owner.

I had an '84 GSL-SE that was pretty well built up that I just sold.

I have an '09 135i M-Sport. I was thinking about getting an FD, but the 135 is probably a more usable car in every imaginable way... maybe with a handling deficit but it makes up for it in other ways (i.e. fuel economy).

Nice 1st Gen, too bad you got rid of it .Good quality ones are starting to really go up in value.

Here's a shot of my FD at the 2012 DGRR.

Yep!
Deals Gap Rotary Rally ever year early spring.

Do the Bimmer crowd do this as well. Been down to The Dragon 5 times plus The Mitty at Road Altanta. Next summer thinking Pike's Peak if I have the time, went into semi-retirement last year, but been contracting 10-40 hours a week lately.

Thanks everyone who responded.
I love the car so far, especially the gas mileage! Hate Reverse, I guess I have to get uses to it!

A few of us were down at the Tail back in 2011, were you there that year? DGRR was going on the same weekend we went.

Yep!
Past 5 years in a row including this year!
Just love the roads & the folks that live there. Twice we did the BRP as well.
Some of the best BBQ I've ever had was on the far side of Bryson City, The Bar-B-Que-Wagon. Just found this place this year.
