date of manufacture on this e30 is 11/89, yet was sold as a 1990 (as per VIN and date on ownership)

only the hard tops came that way post 88/89. although some 89's(late prod 88's) still had aluminum. anything pre- 91 on convertibles were aluminum. I just went to a friends who's got a 03/90 with aluminum bumpers.

Thanks Sly! I agree it looks kind of Mexican beach party with the gold wheels...I need to get pics with the Ronals on.
I would keep it if the QC ministry of transport safety check wasn't so severe, I'm moving Gatineau shortly.

Haven't tried. But they are brutal.
They'll fail you on headlights not being aligned, etc etc.
Most of the work done on the car was done by me(exception is hg and headwork done by Sly) but the qc ministry wants documentation of any aftermarket components installed by a licensed tech. I'm not one.
