I like the S38, but decided to get something in a coupe...M6 or a swap of some sort. I think the price is in the ballpark given the condition, mileage and rarity. Agree with a previous poster that it is a tough time of the year to sell, and this is a specialty car with a limited audience of BMW fans who understand and appreciate it. It was far and away the fastest sports sedan of its' time.

yeah but now it's not really a fast car, 1/4 mile @ 14.4 secs. An e39 540i 6spd is faster than that and you can pick one up for 1/4 the price of an E34 M5
