Clunk while turning wheel problem

So my car is lowered or should i say slammed. when i bought the car i had bimmersport check everything out and the only suspension problem they said were the sway bar links because one of them bent from how low the car is. I havent replaced the links yet and was wondering if the clunk i hear when i turn my wheels when the car is stationary, may be due to the links or something else?

I have the exact same problem right now on my E34 and I'm 95% sure it's the links. If they already told you they were bad then you have nothing to lose by ordering a set. Easy job.

Hey. I have a similar problem with me e46. When I am turning or go over a speed bump or come to a stop I hear a cluncking noise. It's been happening for about 3 weeks now and I have no idea what it is. I also get the same noise when I turn my wheel. Do you think my links are bent too ?

most likely they are if your car is lowered. Bimmersport showed me one of my links when it was on the hoist lol, instead of being a vertical straight link, it looked like a horseshoe. But the problem is i cant find any shorter aftermarket ones to eliminate the problem :S even ebay doesnt have them

You could take a look at making your own set. Places like Pegasus Auto Racing have components. No affiliation with Pegasus - just something I was looking at for a lowered Miata

my father in law has an e46, he has a clunking when he turns the wheel at low speeds, it's his tie rod......

A good suspension kit should come with proper links, because stock to slammed is WAY too much for the OEM ones! There are few free/cheap ways of getting (or making) the ones you need!

Not affiliated with turner just saying, if your going to lower your car, best thing to do is if the coilover kit or lowering kit doesn't come with shortened end links, get these adjustable end links and you won't have to deal with any more bending end links.
