Engine heat still hot after a few hours

I can feel heat coming from 3 Series hours after the car has been in the garage. Is this normal ? Outside temperature is about 27C during the day and cooled off to about 20C at 7pm. It is now 11am and I can still feel heat from the engine.

Yeah, it's totally normal. Everything is packed tight in the engine bay and it is nothing to worry about. Mine is hot to the touch for hours after it's been off as well.

As long as your temperature gauge isn't showing an overheat, then you're good.

Yup, normal - about 4 hours for it to cool down
