e30 replacement OEM+ parts
Hi Folks
I am in the middle of a teardown/rebuild of an 318is 1991
There are lots of little things I need (trim pieces, euro lights, tails etc.)
I tried to order from Guten Parts but they never called me back or responded to my requests for parts so I gave up on them.
I live in Ottawa and I usually ship parts to Ogdensburg etc.
Can people suggest good sources for buying OEM+ parts (euro parts etc.) for e30s
Thanks, Ulf

This was Majjic's E30. He sold it a couple years ago I believe.
Good to see that it's still kicking!

I love me some Pelican Parts. The prices are reasonable for most items and a bit higher on others, but still... Cheaper than ordering in Canada and you only pay shipping to one place vs. shelling out to get rock bottom prices all over the place. It's like having the complete ETK at your finger tips.
I also order a lot of goods from Ireland Engineering. Their after sale service is piss poor, but... they're reasonably priced and ship quick.

thanks, yes I got the brakes and a bunch of other parts from Ireland Eng. As you said -- the after sale service has not been great.
I did get some small interior parts from Pelican and liked that experience.
Any experience with VAC motors?
The car is a 5 lug conversion (now -- just finished that) With fully adjustable Elephant Motorworks coilover suspension.
The M50 in it now is out and I am not putting it back in.
I am looking to swap in an S54 with 6 speed tranny. I am looking for one so if you hear of something let me know.
The car is striped now and being painted in/out including the engine bay.
Then I am going to start putting it all back together.

I've never dealt with VAC as they're a bit too rich for my blood. I've heard nothing but good things though. I'm desperate for their E30 mono wiper kit.

Kijiji is a good source for small bits and pieces....items will likely be used, but buying tons os small items/pieces can make you go broke.
Look for someone who is parting out E30s, junk yards or even whole cars that are cheap and not road worthy. It might be a little difficult in the Ottawa area though, due to smaller concentration of e30 in general.

I use BluntTech almost exclusively lately. I got a quote from BimmerBoys which was very reasonable compared to the rest of the Canadian market.
I have spent ~$2k ordering odds and ends from Blunt of the the past 18 months and have nothing but good things to say.
I used to use Pelican, but their shipping can start to add up quickly.

GOD DAMN that is nicer then any E30 I'll ever have. I ****ing love that car.
Check out www.Blunttech.com or www.Blunttechclassic.com . Great customer service, maxbimmer and r3vlimited sponsor, good pricing, the only bad is that it takes a while for the parts to get here as they use USPS to ship cross border and so you'll have to give it a week or two.

I always use USPS to ship across the border, ups is way too much of a headache with fees and pick up attempts and all that BS

If you ship to Ogdensburg, thebmwpartstore.com is an excellent source, good service, good prices and only oem parts, they have all the same parts you can get from a dealer, I live in Gatineau and I use either them or bluntech.

I have called multiple times, left messages etc. They have never called me back.
I have Levent's email and originally he was writing me, but when I put in my order via email (speadsheet) he never wrote me back.
I gave up. Too bad because they really seemed to know their stuff when I originally talked to them.
