I picked up some toys, I bought the moates burn 2 and the ostrich 2.0 emulator, ive been wrkin away with it, I seemed to have got it set up well, I can run my laptop off the emulator while driving, and trace the values on the graph. im new to the tuning scene but I learnt to adjust rev limiter, a/f ratio (somewhat) haven't tried messing with timing just yet, oh the emulator is in permanently and is replacing the tuned epprom chip barrie had made for me. the ostich is running the same tune barrie created

edit: I did adjust the injector constant to through a little more fuel and it seems to be working. haven't run into any issues

Btw chris nice e30

Ive been playing around with my tune!, not sure if anyone can tell me if this is true, if i adjust my injector constant to a higher value then stock, and reduce all the fuel maps to comoinsate for the added fuel will this allow me to run more boost on my maf due to the ecu thinkin there is "less" load on the fuel system? I did minor adjustment this way and i was able to add a psi of boost with no fuel cut

Depends on what cut fuel, and how it determines the level to cut at. If it's purely on the map value, yes, if its on the calculated final injector open time, no. If its based on too much air passing thought the MAF (likely) then it's not effected.

Yeah, that happens. I wonder if you could run a bypass pipe around the MAF, halving the amount of air that goes through the MAF and then adjust the fuel (say, the injector constant) to put in twice as much fuel as it "thinks" it should have? Sounds dubious but could work.

Alternatively, you could build a MAF out of the guts of a 2" into a 3.5" body. You'd need to retune but it would likely work to some degree.

Pulled apart maf gunna cut the plastic housing and install it on a 3.5 - 4 inch pipe, theory is that the air traveling through the maf will slow down with the larger diameter and wont cause the hot wire in the maf to cool down as much with the same amount of air flowing.
