Delorean Sighting

Hi,

I was driving home from Montreal last night with my wife and spotted a Delorean. What a fantastic piece of machinery!

We were cruising at a good clip along the 40 on our way out of the city when I noticed an extremely low car slowly gaining on us in my mirrors. I figured it had to be something cool so I slowed a bit to let him catch us just to see what it was. I couldn't believe what I was seeing as it slipped past us in all of its stainless steel glory. It was so low and appeared to be simply hovering along the road and seemingly not making any noise. We pulled along-side waving and pointing like idiots and tried to take some pictures but it was too dark. Luckily we were in my M635 and not the Elantra so we maintained a modicum of credibility...

He was moving at a good pace, around 140, and we followed him to Rigaud when I had to pull off. It had Quebec plates so I wondered if he was heading to Gatineau. I would have loved to stay with him, but I needed coffee and gas.

Anyone know this car?

Yeh, that car is serviced by a shop on Preston. I believe there is one in Ottawa as well, but whatever the name of that shop is has some guy who knows Deloreans.

Colour me surprised a Delorean can even hit 140. Cool looking car though.

There's a guy in Guelph who has one and he only lives a few minutes up the road from me. I'm spoiled because I usually see him out driving it at least once a month. The 'cool' factor is definitely through the roof with those things... BTTF is (and will always be) one of my favourite trilogies.
