Kijiji Scam?

So I put my car up on kijiji and I get this emailed to me....obviously smells like a scam but I dont see any harm in giving him my paypal email to see if he sends me the $$ lol.

If you know its a scam, then why would you give him anything. Regardless of what it is, who knows what new trick he may be using that allows him to scam you.

That would be a pretty dumb move if you ask me.

How is it a dumb move?

I don't understand what he could possibly do with his email address besides send him money. Unless he has some way of cracking the password.......

I am curious to see where this goes..

If he has your name and email hes going to use another scam to pay you. That other guy will try to go after you or refund his money as your car is long gone.

Wait, did you say the lowest you would go is $1,800 and he is offering to pay $2,300?

Because if that's the case then I don't know why you are questioning whether or not this is a scam...

1)Tell him to send you the money
2)Transfer it to your bank account
3)Keep the car
4)....
5) Profit.

I dont think its a question of wether or not this is a scam. I know it obviously is. Just trying to find a way to scam the scammer lol. What's funny is I actually got a txt msg from this guy giving me his email. The number was 646-389-6522. The msg said what is your last price for the car and please email me. Providing me with his email address. Guess they are trying to make it seem more legit. When you call the number it transfers to some type of a weird voicemail.
