It's very easy to replace the whole board. Swapping the batteries out is another story. Best bet is to find a working board with good batteries and swap it. Takes 20 minutes at best. Remove steering wheel. Remove cluster bevels, remove cluster. Remove all the screws from the back of the cluster and pull the back off. The SI board is attached to the front piece of the cluster. Remove the single screw where the check light is and slide the board out. Very easy, even for a first timer.
