i just bought a 1990 e30 drop top the back window has a little crack in it and around the window is unstitching and to make it pass safety i got to change the top or fix it but don't wanna pay 1500$ change it any has experience or know someone ?

failing that, ebay has replacement canvas tops...your mileage may vary in terms of quality/fitment however...
