ABOUT THE CAR
The car is in immaculate condition. No rust, fading or corrosion. The interior is next to flawless. Runs great and is nothing short of the Alpina name. It has never been winter driven and is owned by a true BMW enthusiast. You will not be disapointed. A must see.

ABOUT ALPINA
This is one the rarest BMW's you will ever see! There are only 2 in North America! When the car begins production the shell is sent over to the Alpina factory where it is then transformed. Suspension, brakes, wheels, exhaust, front lip, interior and transmission are all upgraded. The engine is then tuned. All hand built in the Alpina factory. When it comes to BMW enthusiasts, there is nothing more recognized and cherished than the Alpina.

*All parts are available at a local BMW dealership

I agree! I'm guessing the Japanese really prefer auto because most of the Alpina's I've seen have been auto and imported here from Japan.

On that note, I wonder what it would cost to do a conversion?

Nice. Also, I'm all for modifying cars, but limited production cars like Alpinas should stay the way they came IMHO.

Lucky guy who bought the car, car looks amazingly clean and with only 108k that is extremely low mileage. I don't think converting an auto to manual would devalue an Alpina or that it's a bad idea. In Europe people tune Alpinas. They are in the end, recognized as it's own make, they don't have to be kept original to keep their status as a brand. In the end it's what people value the car, I'm sure like most of us, we'd prefer them to be manuals. If there was a manual B3 that was converted professionally and cleanly from auto, and an auto B3 untouched original side by side same price, I'd take the manual, and I think most would too.

True Beauty indeed. I would swap a manual from an M3 in.
