car shakes between 100-120 km/h

as others have already said: Front control arms, control arm bushings, tires are all common things that cause vibration on the e46.

A few other things that I have come across on my own car that might create vibration: bent rim, warped brake rotors.

Obviously because you experience this issue with 2 different sets of rims and tires, those probably are likely not the problem.

Another important point that hasn't been brought up yet is whether the hub bore diameter on your wheels are the perfect size (72.6mm) to fit over the OEM hubs (72.5mm). If they're slightly larger, your wheels are now mounted bolt-centric (instead of a proper, accurate hub-centric). This is why some aftermarket wheels require those plastic hub rings.

dont think its the hub, cause as i said before i was having the same issue with oem rims in winter.

the car is going to BMP on Tuesday for coil-over install and heavy duty bushings... we see what they find out!

My shaking problem has been resolved, it was realted to one of the front shocks being blown. after having coil overs installed the car does not shake anylonger between 100 to 120.

I agree. Control arm bushings are likely the issue here.
