Swap to the single outlet and you'll need to replace a bunch of hoses and the tank itself. Which unless you have spares of, will cost you more than getting the proper pump.
Try to find a t fitting again. I'd go to the plumbing section of any hardware store and look at the copper fittings just be sure the inner diameters are correct. And make sure the copper 't' has at least 1" of surface on each of the 3 ends. Take a bit of your hose to make sure it fits, you can use a heat gun and/or some 50/50 dishsoap and water to slip them on. (get a smooth pipe t fitting, not a threaded fitting)
I'd also make sure to orient the t in the correct manner just in case it's that way for a reason, (does the double outlet face downward or upward from the main outlet.)
