Dynavin, f**k yeah

took me a while to get it in as I have fat hands, but going from radio only to be able to do all other things is mind blowing for me.

I want to install one of these is my 1 series but I am still waiting to hear reviews on it.

Have you noticed any improvment in audio quality?

My biggest peeve with these is the lack of playlist support from the iPhone/Ipods. Sure it will show and play through your playlists, but the tracks are by alpha order

I'm not an audiophile and I havn't put in my speakers yet, but the fact I can listen to something else other than radio is awesome to me, I'm sure you can get better sound with other units.

Nope, I think other guys got it to work with DSP with some fiddling.

I don't use my iphone anymore so it's ok with me, I just group music on usb drive by folders, I admit the interface is bit sucky on the music files list, but I can't complaint compare to before, I had broken cd changer and casette player, I even tried to get Enco units but all the trouble and what not is too much for me to deal with.

Doesn't look half bad. If i didn't have DSP+Nav which makes it a nightmare to get one of these on, I prolly would have jumped on it.

Pros:
- Plays just about everything.
- Easy to install (unless you have factory navi/DPS)
- looks OEM, the fit and finish is really good.
- Android side of thing is awesome to play with.

Cons:
- Price.
- music file interface looks bit old.
- iPod interface is kinda wacky.
- Gotta download offline app for GPS for Android.

I re-did some of the wiring along with new Boston Acoustic SC50's all around, I kept the factory amp however and I just have to say the sound difference is amazing! all its lacking now is a subwoofer set up which I'll probably put in over the weekend.

There were few things I re-did this past weekend, the first thing was GPS receiver, some have said they get great reception under the dash, but I couldn't even get one satellite when checking signal, I did notice if I place it on the driver's side under the windshield, I suddenly get 7-8 at all times, this definitely took some trial and errors, the android side of things were bit pain during set up, if you are tethering off your phone, some of the updates can add up to be close to 500-600mb, and since most of us are with Rogers, it sucks, so I had to ghetto-rigged antenna amplifier with tin foils for the router at home to get a strong signal to the car to do all the updates, which works amazing now, if you love your android phone, you'll love this unit, the bluetooth works very well too.

There's an i-bus control box that I didn't install last time cause I couldn't figure out what it does, since there was no explanation in the manual, Dynavin really needs to work on that, but Jeff @ http://jandtdistributing.com has been super quick to explain, this I give it to him, his customer service has been awesome, explain to me all the little details that dynavin should've filled up in the manual, with the i-bus control box you get OBC readings & steering wheel control.

Overall, I love this head unit to pieces, granted there are few things I wish was different, but for what it can do, I'm not gonna complaint.
