winisheld washer fluid in e46

hey just noticed a leak in one of two hoses conecting to my winshield washer fluid. My question is, why are there two hoses one on the front and one on the side of the 5.7L jug and where does the one in the front lead to ? it looks like it Tee's off somewhere under the front bumber but i cant see where it goes or find where exacly its leaking from. I just capped off the front hose, just want to make sure that im not gonna harm any part of the car by plugging the hose thats leaking.

they pop out when activated. should look like doors/plate fillers under the headlight inbetween the two lamps...kinda in the bump between the headlight.
