New Beginnings - 88 Touring

Figured I'd start a new thread as the car has morphed significantly since I picked it up in 08.

Drove it to work today for the first time in 3 years.

A few things to correct. The momo wheel is so ridiculously small, I can't see the speedo worth sh#t. Gonna change it.

My idle surge has leveled out, probably due to changing out the vaccuum lines.

Sounds and drives so nice... but it does need a front end alignment. I'll drop it off tomrrow.

Looking forward to enjoying it over the summer, and even make it to a few Windsor meets.

Still have to put my brake ducts in and finish my bumper trim before I put it on, and paint the fender.

Seriously needs a wash from being in the garage for so long.

14" diameter is stock.

Nice wagon. I scrapped my brake ducts. They kept falling off and I'd run them over. You planning on any track excursions this season? I'd like to see another touring out.

Looks like you have some work to do with that girl.

Or you could sell it to me Actually I might be wanting an e34 wagon that has little rust.

Has potential, get some nice wheels on there and it will transform the car.

Had nice wheels (brock b1's), had m-tech II kit. Sold them to 411. I like the bottle caps and chunkie tires.

I've had cars that are perfect looking and was always affraid of dings. I'm going to just drive and enjoy.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Needs a nice clay bar and wax.

It seems a lot of times, people (myself included) forget that that's the most important part.

Besides, you can't see your bottlecaps when you're driving

It came with Bilsteins and unknown springs. Was way too low with the m-tech kit and brocks so I bought h&r race. Decided to move the kit and wheels and sold the h&r race to defaultname, who has by the looks of it gotten tons of experience putting them on and taking them off.

Ya it's low, but the chunky tires make up for it.

I have a B&M short shifter kit sitting in the garage, that I might put in, but it already shifts so smooth, and I have a set of BMW OEM floor mats to put in also. Still have to fix my heater, but the weather is being nice.

I'm filling my bumper trim to make it look like euro trim. My headliner was sagging and I'm going to re-do it but haven't had time yet, so came outside this morning with my stapler and fixed it for now. lol.

The bruellen exhaust sounds sweeeet..

I seriously like the bottle caps though. I was going to get weaves in the swap with 411 for a great deal, but I prefer the bottle caps. Pink maybe?
