3-series F30 Launch @ Park Avenue BMW in Brossard, April 2nd - Picture Heavy

Quote:
Hey guys, just wanted to share some photos from last Monday night. I was at the launch with Mark Alexander (Scarface), and also saw DonSmoove (don't know if he still posts). They had 3 different 328's, and it was a nice event that BMW put together for it's customers/consumers.

They served wine & hors d'oeuvres throughout the night; had 2 arial/dance performances; Sandro Chia, an artist who used a white F30 as a canvas; and of course, DJ Toddy Flores of Gotsoul.

I put the full album up on Facebook here:

Enjoy the photos!

Yeah nothing magical in the looks dept. Perhaps after a few yuppies crash some of these the engines might look better in an e30.

Not bad! I don't mind it, although i agree that it's nothing special so far.

InfiniteDice, why so sour man? Every car maker, and every model has it's pros and cons.

Why don't they just re-release the 1936 328.

Now if they can make a new car that's Identical to that with slightly more modern guts, then that would be worth buying.

I guess I'm not very excited in modern cars (in most cases). Essentially swap the emblem and name tag off anything out there, Acura, Honda, Hyundai, they are almost the same anyways.

"We have automatic parking assist!"

Oh, so in other words you don't need to know how to drive anymore. A car is to drive, these things on the road are barely that anymore.

I have a good idea! Why not automate the whole driving process so we don't need to pay insurance anymore.... the crash wasn't my fault it is autonomous!

I suppose if money didn't matter I'd just buy a 1936 328, and perhaps an x5 diesel or something for when I need to do family things.

About the sourness... I suppose it stems from the fact that most decent cars cost a years of my wage. And I don't really see why we elevate and worship the new model for the year and shun the previous years models.

This all comes back to the age old arguement of what something's intrinsic value is in relation to the market value of something newer to replace it. (get my drift?)

Is the F30 a nice car... Sure why not! Is it worth praise and celebration? We'll see. Am I going to go apeshit and sign myself to slavery for 5 - 8 years to buy it... No.
