BMW painting spots

Hello,

I was wondering how much would it cost to paint (like new, as much as possible) small spots on a 2002 5-Series. The car is in amazing shape, but there are few (about 15) paint scratches (most of them are 1 cm x 1 cm in size) all around the car. No dents, or any major paint scratches.

I live in Toronto, Canada. Do you recommend any particular shops that specializes in these things? I can always call to check for their prices.

How about DIY tutorials? Can I do it by myself?

Tricky unless you do it all the time. If deep the paint needs to be squeegee'd into the scratch. Do it wrong and you'll end up with a bigger mess than when you started.

Get a detailer to lok at it.. might be able to take them off with a 3 stage polish or wet sanding..if the scratch is not deep...

You might have issues with colour matching since it's a 2002 (fading) unless you can blend. If the marks are close together you may be better off painting the entire panel.

Painting is not a very DIY job. Chances are you don't want a shitty rattle can job (paint never matches 100% and there are variants of the same paint code. IE for my cosmos 303 black, I have a US variant that doesn't use blue metallic flake - which is standard)
