You should give Nick a shout, He's got a e21 that he's gutting the drivetrain from for a 2002 project for his son, he's willing to part with the shell, i know this because i bought a brake booster off him for my swap. the link for the car is here http://www.maxbimmer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=140541 just PM him for more info, he is a very helpful gentleman.

This would be ideal! I've sent him a pm, hopefully this works out, thanks for the tips... seems like there is a lot of interest in seeing this happen!

Hey, if you are still interested there is an e21 at a shop near laird/eglinton which has been there for YEARS! they have a whole fenced in area with old cars that have been there for decades. worth a try. 1st light, corner, south of eglinton.
edit: wicksteed ave and laird dr

If you're still looking....
If you are, this just popped up on Kijiji. If the lack of glass doesn't interfere too badly with your intentions for this project, this is a car that is a perfect candidate:

the glass dosent bother me, since i've got a lexan set picked out (minus the front) but the seller is on crack if he thinks he's getting a grand for that. I'm his best bet with 400$ otherwise its the scrap yard and I think they pay 250$. I've already told him as much... thanks for the tip though!

I was a little confused when I read the email containing the original reply; no worries though, I can see where you were coming from.
I figured the lack of windows wouldn't be a huge issue given your intentions for this project but yeah, that price is definitely way too optimistic given the state of the car. That said, I think if you can get this for $400-500 that you would have a good basis to start your build. Good luck.
