there is no reasonable price for a clean e30 anymore, especially a coupe - it's called supply and demand. :-) They are just going to go up in value as they get harder to find. People are reluctant to sell because when they sells theirs, then they end up being the "poor bastard" who continues to look everywhere for another one and simply can't find it. lol

There are a bunch on kijiji and there always is. Don't search E30 look up eg. 1989 BMW.
Most people do not know what an E30 is even if they own one.

yeah, and I've seen half of them on kjijji. most of them are shit cans... even the high priced ones. there are a few nice examples tastefully done but they are fetching a high price and perhaps rightfully so. you'll be spending at least 5-8k for one that is unmolested respectable condition. if it is a cabrio. Maybe less, but consider adding on about 3k in work alone to bring it back as these require more care.

absolutely correct, when i went to buy my car i probably looked at over 10 e30's and most if not all of them are shit cans, body is good on some, except the strut towers and the battery tray of course, that why i called of the search off for an IS and got the cleanest e30 4 door i could find, thank god old people don't use kijiji, found her on a driveway and picked it up the day after! 1200$ steal, owner had every oil change since 1989 from Otto's BMW in Ottawa, Krowned the car every year, stickers are all over inside door, Im a lucky guy loool at least i like to think so!

Now I'm glad that I picked my coupe last year. How about the used car magazine? I stopped reading it years ago but I used to see some nice cars in private listing section.

another one 89-vert restored for 10k

e30
So I am guessing that since all i need to do is weld in floor panels, install manual tranny and maybe paint it that I my be jumping the gun trying to get rid of it? My wife keeps saying it will be too much work. It is just a 318i though so I know the engine is a shitty M10. Floors, paint and tranny and its ready to go, just need to consider that it is an 84 318I coupe and that is a definite downfall
