If nothing is wrong with the car, I wouldn't worry about it. There are many more connectors that look exactly like that under the gauge cluster, and behind the speaker cover / kick panel. They're just accessory plug-ins most of the time (map light mirror and stuff).

blue and white is the DME's signal that the AC is on for the idle. It connects to the two purple wires which send 12V to it.

That leaves the other two. One shows "not in use" on the wiring diagram, and the other is the gear selector or range switch. For automatic I'm guessing.
