First, go read up on GST and you will see there are tons of food items that should have GST on them but currently do not. As long as they keep GST off produce and bread I see zero issue with this.

how is it exaclty suppose to help the poor??? by preventing them from buying the food they need (fruits and vegetables for example) now that they will more expensive and directing them to the nearest McDonalds because is a cheaper alternative????? can't beat the 1.99 cheeseburger !!! inlcudes the bun, the fake meat, the onions, the special sauce, and some ketchup in there if you are lucky !!!
