Nice feature indeed. How does it recieve power though, and how do you charge it, if it's a battery? I'm on the fence between the Gopro Hero 2, and the blackvue.

Everyday use blackvue is the clear winner
Just turn on ur car and it records. Unlike gopro2 bunch of button to push before recording. (I think there is short cut for this)
Gopro2 at night is complete useless

If anyone else is interested in a Blackvue, I'd consider organizing my own group buy. It should cost around $210 all-in.

How does the 400HD compare to the gopro in terms of mounting it outside of the car like a gopro setup? Wind supression etc? I was going to buy the new gopro but if this is similar I might pick one up. I'm guessing this is better and only suitable for an in-car setup.

The GoPro has it's purpose, but for constant in-car surveillance there are way better solutions. I happen to use the GoPro just because I already own it, the Hero2 HD is surprisingly good at night, even on an unlit highway, but I only use it when the weather is crap.

I picked up a gopro hero2 but its more so for the fact i can use it for much more than driving or snowboarding. its great for pretty much any situation.

I've contacted the distributor in Korea for my own "group purchase" and it looks like we're too late. They just got their entire inventory wiped out by other 200+ group buys. We'll have to wait until more get made. I'm also looking around for another source to purchase the Blackvue from. I'll keep you guys updated.
