Clear this CEL
i had an error read for a capillary leak, cleared the code and it came back. i checked again with a code reader and there is no error code, just the CEL. im wondering if this is the result of the leak still being around or something else. i read in the peake manual:
"Engine Lamp will not reset:
When the MIL is on, will not reset, yet no codes are found this can be
caused by one of two things; most common: the car has automatic
transmission related faults which can trigger an engine MIL. The engine MIL
circuit from the Engine ECU to the instrument cluster is open. "
if its the leak, should i still be able to read its related code each time the cel comes back on? Im in the midst of replacing parts related to the capillary leak, but if this code is unrelated.. im clearly wasting time and money. any insight would be greatly appreciated
note: transmission has been rebuild ~5k ago, there are no transmission related lights lit
