03 540i cooling system?

Hey, I'm at 105k and haven't touched this thing~ but everything seems to look and run fine. Are Canadian's less likely to need to do to overhauls compared to (what seems like) all cars from very hot climates?

OR is this wishful thinking and I should order all the parts for the overhaul that will need to be done very soon?

I would replace the fan clutch and water-pump just as preventative maintenance.

Cars in hotter climates defiantly take more strain and such.

Order the parts, ...the parts may not have a lot of milage but the plastic parts get brittle with time and heat cycles. Stuff can break without warning and can cause engine damage. Example the upper rad hose can look brand new but pull it self apart under hard acceleration,...been there and done it.

Its cheaper/easyer to replace parts then fix things when they become problems! Not to mention getting stuck on the side of the road, towing, lost time, and additional damage that might happen.

When checking things, make sure not to forget the auxilary fan, most people dont think of it, but they are known to go very quick and it can cause problems in the summer when you run the AC.
