8legs Racing - Winterfest 2012
Some fun at Winterfest in Sebring last month. The 8legs Racing crew went down for a few days of racing. We brought 2 cars. This is incar (#10) of the first few laps of the 90 min enduro. Just didn't have the power to stay with the Aston ;-)

Nice to see in car stuff from the #10! Is that Aston a current Conti GS car? That thing is pretty quick! What kind of laptimes did you turn throughout the weekend?

No idea what these cars are all running in ... there was some pretty cool hardware that's for sure! Times for the #10 were around 2:22s, with a best of 2:21 in qualifying. The #11 (old e36 with a 2.8L) managed to get down to 2.25s. We were trying to be frugal, so only brought a bunch of scrubs from last year for tires ... would have been nice to have at least one fresh set, but it was still a blast!

Damn! 2.21 Thats fast! Were the WC cars ever that fast at Sebring? I can't remember when it was, but it was either '07 or '08, and there was an old Tecmark WC car running in the vintage races and I don't think it was nearly that quick. Mid 20s if that?

In 2009 Seth Thomas ran a 2:23 and James Clay (Bimmerworld) ran a 2:22 in their e90 WC cars, so pretty close!
